Austin — The 2009 edition of the Texas Music Events Calendar is now available. It lists more than 500 annual events in Texas showcasing live music.

From the Cowhill Chili Fest and BBQ Cook-Off in Commerce to the National Polka Festival in Ennis to the huge South by Southwest Conference in Austin to the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth, Texas music means great outdoor and indoor annual events reflecting our state’s musical and cultural diversity. Last year, the combined budgets for these events totaled more than $75 million, with a combined attendance of more than 20 million people.
